truth about the Dilute Gene

Your pet is important to us. Because we care, we want to assure you that every effort will be taken to make your pet’s visit with us as pleasant as possible. Cresthill Kennels agrees to exercise due and responsible care and to keep the premises sanitary and properly enclosed. Your pet will be fed and watered regularly per your instruction. They will be housed in safe, clean quarters.

The services we provide are done so without liability for loss or damage from disease, death, running away, theft, or fire, and from injury or damage done by your pet to people, other animals, property, or other unavoidable causes. The undersigned releases Cresthill Kennels LLC, its owners, and employees from all risks and damages which may occur during their pet’s stay.

Occasionally boarding and/or grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after your pet’s stay with us. Should your pet become ill or injured and need medical attention, we reserve the right to administer aid and render care by your local designated veterinarian, if available, or by our veterinarian, Ferry Farm Animal Clinic, should it be deemed necessary. Treatment and/or medical care is at the pet owner’s expense. In addition, there will be a $40 transportation fee to transport your pet from the kennel to the veterinarian.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure your pet is up to date on all required vaccinations. Cresthill Kennels requires three main vaccinations. Bordetella (Kennel Cough), Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies. For the safety of our young puppies and all other dogs that are in our care, we require that your dog be vaccinated for Bordetella a MINIMUM OF 10 DAYS PRIOR TO BOARDING. This vaccination is good for 1 year from date of vaccination.

  • Kennel Cough is a highly infectious respiratory disease that despite many preventative measures taken, such as vaccines, can still be transmitted from dog to dog. We take all possible preventative measures to prevent kennel cough and any other disease from spreading. Cresthill Kennels is not responsible for any medical costs associated with the treatment of kennel cough or any other illness that your pet may come into contact with during their stay.

  • Cancellation Policy. We understand that plans change. Should your plans unexpectedly change, we ask for the courtesy of a phone call, text, or e-mail to let us know you will not be needing our services. Should you fail to contact us, you will be billed a minimum of $50 or half of your booked boarding reservation, whichever is greater.

  • Any pet that is flea and/or tick infested upon arrival will be bathed and dipped IMMEDIATELY at the owner’s expense. Cost for flea/tick treatment is $40.

  • Toys and blankets can be left with your pet.  Because of constant cleaning and washing of bedding and toys, items may be misplaced at times. We will make every effort to return any items to you at the end of your pet’s stay, but we are not responsible for these items due to loss or damage. Should you choose not to leave any bedding, Cresthill Kennels will provide blankets and a Karunda bed for your pet’s comfort.

  • The kennel is CLOSED for pick-ups and drop-offs from 12:00PM (noon) until 6:00PM and 7:00PM until 8:00am every day. After hour pick-ups and drop-offs can be arranged if planned in advance for an additional $100 fee or portion thereof.

  • CHECK OUT IS 12:00PM (noon). You will be charged for the day of pick-up if you do not arrive before 12:00PM. If you choose to arrange pick-up between 12:00PM and 6:00PM or between 7:00PM and 8:00AM you will be charged an additional after hour fee of $100.

  • The owner will be charged for any excessive damage to our property beyond normal wear and tear incurred by their pet during their stay with us. (i.e. chewing of the guillotine door, destruction of Karunda beds, damage to water buckets)

  • The speed limit on our property is 5 MPH. For the safety of our animals and workers, please abide by the posted speed limit signs. Habitual offenders will be warned and may be banned from our property,

Your pet will not be released until all charges are paid in full or other arrangements have been made with the owner or an employee of Cresthill Kennels. We accept payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card. You agree to notify us in advance if there is a change in your pet’s pick-up date and time. Any pet left uncalled on for 7 days past the scheduled pick-up date will become property of Cresthill Kennels. Fees incurred for care and disposal of uncalled on pets will be turned over to collections.

By signing this contract, the owner of this pet or his/her agent agrees to pay reasonable legal fees and costs incurred by Cresthill Kennels LLC in the collections of outstanding bills. The owner or his/her agent also grants permission to Cresthill Kennels to obtain emergency veterinary treatment at the owner’s expense if deemed necessary.
